Bringing Strategy, Technology, Entrepreneurship and People Together to Create Meaningful Impact
Organisations today face challenges that rarely fit within a single discipline. Growing a business requires more than a good product. Digital transformation requires more than technology. Building an impact venture requires more than a compelling mission. Sustainable growth depends on the ability to connect strategy, people, processes, technology, finance, and execution.
This is where I believe meaningful collaboration begins.
I am an entrepreneur, strategist and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of technology, business, innovation and impact. Over the years, I have moved between building technology solutions, leading businesses, supporting entrepreneurs, advising organisations and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.
My experience spans technology and digital transformation, venture development, business strategy, investment readiness, human centred innovation, entrepreneurship development and impact oriented initiatives. I have worked with businesses, startups, SMEs, development organisations, institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders, gaining a practical understanding of the opportunities and constraints that shape organisations at different stages of growth.
I bring together strategic thinking, entrepreneurial experience, a technology background and a network of professionals and specialist teams to help organisations move from ideas and challenges to practical solutions.
Whether you are an established enterprise exploring digital transformation, a startup preparing for growth, an impact venture seeking investment readiness, or an organisation developing an entrepreneurship or innovation programme, I welcome conversations that lead to purposeful collaboration.
My approach is simple: understand the challenge, identify the opportunity, bring the right expertise together, and work towards outcomes that matter.
1. Entrepreneurial Experience Beyond the Boardroom
I started my professional journey in technology, working as a software developer/analyst before moving into entrepreneurship. That transition shaped how I approach business challenges today.
Having been involved in building and leading businesses I understand that entrepreneurship is not simply about developing an idea or launching a product. It involves making difficult decisions with limited resources, understanding customers, managing teams, developing sustainable business models, navigating uncertainty and finding the right opportunities for growth.
As Co-Founder and Director of Dcastalia Limited I have been involved in building a technology business and delivering digital transformation initiatives for organisations across different sectors. The company’s experience includes more than 2,000 digital transformation projects for over 1,650 organisations reflecting the breadth of its work and the importance of technology as an enabler of organisational development.
My role has evolved from technology and product oriented work towards business leadership, strategic direction, partnerships and organisational growth. This experience has given me an appreciation of both sides of the table: the strategic priorities of decision-makers and the practical realities faced by the teams responsible for implementation.
As COO of De Tempête Ltd I have also been involved in strategy, operations, innovation and growth. My work across entrepreneurial and development oriented initiatives has further strengthened my understanding of business models, organisational capabilities, investment readiness and impact measurement.
These experiences inform the way I collaborate. I do not approach every challenge as a theoretical exercise. I value strategies that can be understood, tested, implemented, measured and improved.
For startups and SMEs, this means recognising resource constraints and prioritising what can realistically move the business forward. For established organisations, it means understanding existing systems, institutional priorities, stakeholders, and the practical implications of change.
I believe useful advice should be grounded in reality. It should help people make better decisions and take meaningful action.
2. A Strong Foundation in Technology and Digital Transformation
Technology has been a consistent part of my professional journey. My background in computer science and software development combined with years of entrepreneurial and business experience allows me to approach technology not merely as a technical function but as a strategic capability.
Organisations invest in technology for different reasons – to improve operational efficiency, reach new customers, modernise services, make better decisions, reduce costs, improve accessibility or create entirely new business opportunities.
However, technology adoption alone does not guarantee transformation. Successful digital transformation requires a clear understanding of the organisation’s objectives, users, processes, existing capabilities and long term priorities.
Through my work with a wider technology ecosystem I have been exposed to a broad range of digital transformation challenges and opportunities. This includes software platforms, enterprise systems, digital services, business applications and technology enabled solutions.
I believe technology decisions should begin with questions such as:
- What problem are we actually trying to solve?
- Who will use the solution, and what do they need?
- How does the proposed technology fit into existing operations?
- What capabilities are required to develop, deploy, and maintain it?
- Is the solution scalable, secure, accessible, and commercially sustainable?
- How will we know whether the investment has delivered value?
My contribution is often to help connect these questions with business strategy and implementation priorities, while bringing in the appropriate technical expertise when specialist delivery is required.
3. Helping Ventures Build, Grow and Prepare for Investment
Entrepreneurship is one of the areas closest to my professional experience and personal interests.
Over the years I have worked with startups and SMEs at different stages of development from early business formation and market exploration to organisational growth, investment readiness and expansion.
I have also spent more than 12 years mentoring startups and SMEs, helping founders think through business challenges, evaluate opportunities, strengthen their propositions and make informed decisions.
One lesson has remained consistent – A promising idea is only the beginning. A venture needs a clear understanding of its customers, a viable business model, a capable team, an appropriate operating structure and a realistic path to market.
For founders the challenge is often not a lack of ambition. It is knowing what to prioritise, what to validate, how to allocate limited resources and how to prepare the business for its next stage.
I enjoy working with entrepreneurs who are willing to question assumptions, learn from evidence, and build with a long-term perspective.

Areas where I can contribute
- Venture strategy and business model development – Helping founders clarify their value proposition, identify target markets, understand customer needs, assess business-model assumptions, and develop a practical direction for growth.
- Business growth and organisational development – Supporting startups and SMEs as they strengthen their operations, define priorities, improve decision making, build partnerships, and develop the capabilities needed to grow.
- Investment readiness – Helping ventures understand what investors and financing partners may look for, identify gaps in their business proposition, strengthen their impact and commercial narratives and prepare for meaningful investment conversations.
- Fundraising preparation and strategic partnerships – Supporting founders in developing fundraising strategies, refining their propositions, identifying relevant funding opportunities, and building relationships with potential partners and investors.
- Go-to-market and commercialisation –
- Helping ventures think through market entry, customer acquisition, pricing, distribution, partnerships, and the practical steps required to translate a product or service into a sustainable business.
I do not believe in treating fundraising as the starting point or the ultimate measure of entrepreneurial success. A venture should first understand the problem it addresses, the value it creates, and the business model that can sustain it.
Investment readiness is part of building a stronger organisation, not simply preparing a pitch deck.
